We started doing this so dad and I could equally watch each kiddo discover what Santa left for them. But, from all the moaning and groaning coming from the stairs, it was apparently a form of torture for the older children.
Now as I look back at Christmas photos, it is the only time we could get all six kids in one picture so I am really glad we tortured you in this way.

This year we are more spread out than ever before. It makes me a little sad that we don't all live in the same town so we can spend the holidays together, but I suppose there is something about having limited time together that makes that time more precious.
So this year as we are all spread out we will have to enjoy our time together with past memories together, Skype and phone calls.
Family News
1. Christie and Tyler is over their annual pre-Christmas flu. At least it hit before the holidays and your houseful of guests arrive.
2. Jessica finished her semester and was able to recover in the company of her grandma, her dad and Candy in a quick trip to Savannah.
3. Peter graduated! Congratulations, we are so proud of you and Jill for this accomplishment. They are off to Utah on Monday and then to "infinity and beyond"--or at least to Davenport. Good luck on this journey!
4. Lori and Zach finished up their semester with nothing but another knee surgery to look forward to--bummer! Lori is recovering well with the aid of a fulltime nurse. Thanks, Zach for taking care of our cute little lulu!
5. Lisa had the all time most adventurous end of the semester...let's see there was a last minute major paper needing written and edited all over the country, roommates with honor code violations, police interrogations and a surprise kiss.
6. Katie finished up her semester walking a grading scale tight-rope. But the lucky little thing ended up with 5 A's(she had a 99% and four 90% and one B.
