Fathers
There has been so much written, sung or said on the subject. I don't suppose I could add much more. Still there has not been nearly enough said when it comes to the father of my children. When I think of Chris the words of the Robert Service poem, The Call of the Wild, comes to my mind.
"Have you seen God in His splendors, heard the text that nature renders?
The simple things, the true things, the silent men who do things--"
Chris has never been a man of many words, but he is definietly a man who manifests God's splendors in how he chooses to spend his time(with his family and for his family).
And since a picture speaks a thousand words, Here is the man I chose to be my children's father. I chose wisely!

Family updates for this week
1. Katie is home from Trek. It was a good experience and she is glad she went. Here she is in her Pioneer outfit.

2. Lisa had her first dressing and cast removed after the surgery. The outside of her leg looks pretty good although there is a little swelling and bruising. It was the inside of the leg(from the Xray that was pretty tough to handle. Still her ankle looks good and we feel grateful.

3. Lori has her first day of class at BYU tomorrow. I am thinking about you Lulu.
4. Drew and Jessica have survived their first week+ apart. I think of you both every day.
5. Katie heads off to Young Women's camp this week. With back to back weeks of Trek and YW camp we can call her "Wilderness Girl".
6. Katie found out she made the U19 club soccer team. They put all the High school girls on the same team, and this means she will be the youngest player, playing with and against much older girls. Congratulations Katie!
